- Lecturer and Senior Manager at Waterford Institute of Technology 1971-2009 . As Vice President for Development she had responsibility for postgraduate studies, international affairs and the Library.
- Lectured in Biology WRTC, 1971-1984.
- Established Department of Adult and Continuing Education in WIT 1984-1996. Extensive experience in developing customised programmes for external partners.
- Established the very successful International office at WIT with links in China, South Asia, Thailand, Middle East, Europe, South America, Mexico, USA and Canada.. Led the development of offshore course delivery for Waterford Institute of Technology.
- Qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language
- Developed the curriculum for the current WIT Foundation Bridging programme for International students which has been running in WIT since 2002.
