Transport

There is a small airport in Waterford and there are regular daily flights from Luton Airport, London. A student can be met at the airport in Waterford for no extra charge.

It is also possible to travel by coach and sea from London to Fishguard in Wales and from there to Rosslare in Ireland, which is only 1.5 hours from Waterford.

Most students arrive in Ireland by air at either Cork or Dublin Airports. There are frequent coaches to Waterford City from both airports and the travel time is around 3.5 hours from Dublin and 2 hours from Cork. The fare is around 18 Euro.

If the student is young or travelling alone for the first time, WAE can arrange for them to be met at the airport and brought to the city by taxi. This service will cost approximately 200 Euro and must be arranged at least 10 days before arrival.

If students arrive in groups of 10 or more, WAE can arrange for a special coach to meet the group. This will cost approximately 50 Euro per person.

Within Ireland there are good coach and rail services throughout the island.
